Wild Root Farm

@GrowingWildKY

We’re Jason and April Spayd — a husband and wife duo growing herbs, dreams, and a slower kind of living here at Wild Root Farm. What began as a backyard patch and a deep love for natural remedies has grown into a labor of love rooted in faith, family, and the belief that healing starts in the soil. Every tincture, tea, and handmade good we offer is a reflection of the land we steward and the stories we’re honored to share. Whether you’re visiting us online or out in the field, we’re so glad you’re here.

Our farm is nestled in the heart of Kentucky, Wild Root Farm is more than a place — it’s a way of living close to the land, of honoring old wisdom, and of finding healing in the wild things.

Founded by April, a passionate herbalist and forager, she has turned our farm is a living apothecary where each leaf tells a story, and each tincture holds a piece of the earth’s quiet magic. We believe that true wellness begins with relationship — to plants, to people, to place.

From hand-harvested herbs and small-batch tinctures, to skin care recipes, seasonal teas, and wild-foraged remedies — everything we offer is made with intention, love, and the belief that healing starts from the ground up.

We’re here to teach, to grow, to share, and to remember the old ways.

Whether you’re new to herbalism or knee-deep in your own wildcrafting journey, you’re welcome here.

Where the WILD grows into medicine;

one leaf, one tincture, one story at a time.

Come visit us online or in the field.

We’d love to share a cup of tea and a story or two.
